Department of Justice Managed Print Case Study

Ireland’s largest public sector managed print services roll-out.

The Department of Justice used the National Procurement Services Framework to tender for Managed Print Services and a refresh of Hardware for its seven agencies; Irish Prison Service, the State’s Court Service, Financial Shared Services, Garda Ombudsman, Probation Service, the National Disability Authority and the Justice Department.

Seven Preferred Framework Members were required to tender for its objective to ‘economically manage print requirements and maximise volume discounts and provide for reductions in administrative and transaction costs for the Authority.’ Bryan S Ryan was awarded a five year contract with the thorough Kyocera and Papercut solution they provided to meet the Department's conditions.

“Whilst the roll-out took close to nine months, the acceptance from our staff and the little or no impact it had on their day to day work was testimony to Bryan S Ryan’s transition programme and vision in educating the users throughout the process.”
George Jackson, Head of IT, The Irish Prison Service
