Getting to know your Business in 2016

The Managed Print Services (MPS) landscape continues to change. On the back of unparalleled success in both the Public and Private sector over the last three years it was important that we took a step back and actually asked our clients, "What is your understanding of Managed Print Services? Can it add further value?"

According to Gerry Cheung, Director Bryan S Ryan, the responses were somewhat staggering and surprising; “MPS has changed, and will continue to change, most of our clients are in third or fourth generation MPS which means that cost savings are marginal. They are now looking at our ability to integrate these solutions with other IT Projects.” This is further backed up by IDC’s Western European Hardcopy Survey where 56% of all CIO’s surveyed were keen to leverage existing MPS contracts and explore synergies.

2016 presents Bryan S Ryan with an opportunity to learn more about our clients and in particular their thoughts around Information Management including the protection of sensitive corporate data. This approach is also supported by a global shift in focus to a Comprehensive Document Life Cycle strategy typically referred to as “Managed Document Solutions (MDS)”. Our OEM partners, Canon and Kyocera, continue to make strategic investments in software and data capture companies which enhances the overall MDS offering.

Bryan S Ryan started the journey in “Getting to know your business better” back in October 2015, when we hosted three Information Management (IM) workshops in Cork, Galway and Dublin. The sole purpose was to learn more about our client’s requirements. It was a very positive educational experience and one which has led to several more in depth “Scope and Design Sessions”.
