ISO Accreditation Process 2011

As part of Bryan S Ryan’s Corporate & Social Responsibility  programme we will commence the process of ISO Accreditation in 2011.

The Project team have issued the following Statement which will be the benchmark for our ISO14001 Accreditation:

Environmental Policy Statement

Bryan S Ryan is Ireland’s leading supplier of total business infrastructure solutions.  We are fully committed to providing sustainable solutions, which create business advantages for our Clients.  We promote a pro-active approach to avoidance of adverse environmental impacts of the service we deliver by selecting the best available technology and products to offer environmental benefits.

We are committed to continually improving our Environmental Management System’s (EMS) performance, to the prevention on of pollution and any adverse affects on the environment in which we live and work.

It is our objective to achieve the highest standards of environmental protection through continued improvement and innovative products and technology.

We aim to:

  • Achieve ISO14001:2004 EMS Certification in 2011.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and by following best environmental practice in regard to our own activities;
  • Control and minimise the social impact and environmental damage of our activities;
  • Employ a programme of training to create and maintain a level of environmental awareness amongst all staff;
  • Protect flora and fauna and their habitats at our offices;
  • Ensure the office is managed using clean energy efficient technologies and systems;
  • Promote a concept of reduce, reuse, recycle and replace within all aspects of our office and warehouse operations;
  • Establish targets against which to measure the improvement in our environmental performance in key areas, such as energy use and waste.
  • Promote good environmental practice and awareness among our clients and suppliers.
  • Ensure that our suppliers will comply with, and uphold, the environmental standards we have set.
  • Encourage the use of public transport, car sharing and cycling; and regularly review and revise our environmental management system.

We will review this policy periodically to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to our operations and the environment we aim to protect.
