Trainee Field Service Technician

As our business grows we now require a Trainee Field Service Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will join our Technical team, focusing on supporting key customers in the Dublin city centre area & reporting directly to the Service Manager.

Based in Tallaght, Dublin 24, our head office is easily accessible from the M50 & N7 and surrounding areas of Citywest, Kildare, Carlow & Wicklow. Role will be located at various client locations within Dublin city centre.

Overall responsibility

The successful candidate will be one of the key contacts for a group of customers. The candidate will be Bryan S Ryan’s person on the ground and expected to represent Bryan S Ryan and solve or provide a solution and assistance for any service related queries customers may have on a day to day basis.

The successful candidate will be given several accounts to serve around Dublin City Centre and will be expected be work onsite for these accounts on a rotational basis.

After initial training, progress can then be made through the Company grade system, depending on ability, aptitude and attitude, and progress through the continued manufacturers’ accreditation system.

Key areas of responsibility

  • - Provide support for customers with any service-related queries including toner replenishment, parts ordering, first-line maintenance (after training).
  • - Work directly with customers as required, and develop a strong working relationship with customers.
  • - Promote Bryan S Ryan products and services while onsite.
  • - Liaise with Bryan S Ryan engineers assigned to various accounts.
  • - Technical training will be provided to allow for greater customer support over time.

  • - Service Manager and Field Engineers
  • - Service Control and Toner Fulfilment teams
  • - Customers

Term of employment / Compensation

  • - Possible permanent role on successful completion of an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

Qualifications

  • - Ability to communicate technical/product information to both a technical and nontechnical audience
  • - Proficient with administrative software (MS Word, Excel, etc)
  • - Strong sense of customer service for both internal and external contacts and clients
  • - Good organisational, communication, interpersonal and administrative skills
  • - Ability to develop a trusting relationship with customers and clients
  • - Applicants should have a smart appearance, a friendly personality, be IT literate, a good time keeper and be willing to learn
  • - Accuracy and attention to detail
  • - Excellent spoken and written English essential
